Activities of the Hudson/Delaware Chapter of SETAC are led by a Board of Directors including the President, Vice President, Past President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communications Director and several (6-7) additional members, including one student. All terms are for three years, except for the student term, which is one year. Board members are nominated and elected by the HDC membership, and the student board member is selected by the Board of Directors.  The Board meets approximately five times annually. Board members are expected to attend all meetings, write or solicit articles for the Chapter's newsletter and or website, participate in organizing and running the Chapter's Annual Meetings (spring and fall) and assist in promoting Chapter events. There are many ways to contribute.

The Hudson-Delaware Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (HDC-SETAC) is a professional society for environmental scientists, engineers and related disciplines concerned with environmental science and health located in the Hudson River and Delaware River metropolitan area.

HDC-SETAC is a regional chapter of SETAC, a national scientific non-profit organization of about 4,000 members and was founded in 1984, making it one of the first established regional chapters within North America. In 2010, the chapter continues to attract scientists and students from academia, consulting, government, and industry.  We offer an informative and educational (but fun!) Annual Spring Meeting and Fall Workshop to enhance our knowledge of environmental sciences, offer opportunities for students and an award program, and scientific interchange at all HDC-SETAC events.

The HDC-SETAC Board of Directors invites all environmental scientists and students to visit our website and learn about the chapter. We would love to have you attend our events and appreciate any comments that you may have about the website, our events or about the chapter in general. HDC-SETAC is all about environmental scientists and students of our region and our meetings and workshops are designed to educate attendees about current issues and topics of the Hudson/Delaware region. We would like YOU to be involved with us!!!
