“Wastewater Treatment: Bringing 21st Century Science to a 19th Century Technology”

The program for Wednesday will consist of a workshop of invited speakers focusing on Wastewater Treatment and new treatment technologies and processes.  Thursday will offer short courses and platform presentations by HDC members on this theme or other topics. Wednesday and Thursday’s lunch will provide time for networking and may include an interesting and/or provocative presentation by an invited speaker (to be announced). Poster presentations by students and professionals will be displayed and visited during the coffee breaks and a late-afternoon Poster Social on Wednesday, as well as Thursday morning. Prizes for the winners of the student poster competition are very lucrative (Graduate Students 1^st place = $500, Undergraduate Students 1^st place = $350). Wednesday will be capped by an evening dinner with a Keynote Speaker. On Thursday at lunch we will have a short business meeting (with student poster awards). Thursday afternoon will include platform presentations.

All HDC members (and prospective members) are invited to submit abstracts for platform and poster presentations for consideration by the Program Committee. Abstracts for platform presentations (max. 500 words) should be submitted to Dr. Nai-chia Luke (luken@cdm.com). Poster abstracts should also be submitted to Dr. Nai-chia Luke at (LukeN@cdm.com). Poster Abstracts will be accepted right up until the day before the meeting - please try and call or email in advance! If you would like to teach a short course, please contact Ron MacGillivray at (ronald.macgillivray@drbc.state.nj.us) by April 9th. Sustaining and Full Corporate Sponsors of HDC-SETAC are invited to utilize dedicated table space to display corporate literature and advertise job postings.
